My Background and Approach
Blending effective clinical tools with 18 years of counseling experience, I combine compassion and empathy with honesty and practical tools. I specialize in anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, marriage, parenting, emotional regulation, PTSD, grief, and life-transitions. When we meet, you can expect a sincere and accepting atmosphere regardless of your situation and background. I merge CBT with Solution-Focused BT when counseling, and tailor each session to your unique goals and background. Regardless of where you are, I believe no situation is hopeless and that you have the resources and resiliency to be healthy and happy. I grew up in Texas an am a U.S. Army Veteran and ordained minister. My clinical experience includes Seattle's Center for Child Development, Fort Worth's Alliance Child and Family Solutions, and Dr. Messina & Associates. In addition to seeing clients, I have conducted extensive workshops, seminars, and conferences for marriage, parenting, and self-help.
