About My Clients
I really enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma, have been previously incarcerated, struggled with substance abuse, psychosis, and other mental health concerns.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental environment that is inclusive and culturally competent. I am dedicated to building a therapeutic relationship and will utilize a warm, direct , and non-judgemental approach to assist you in making connections within yourself. I also believe that while the healing journey can be a lot of work, it is meant to be fun too. I like to use humor to help ease some of the struggles associated with healing. Plus, let's face it those of us that have been through a lot are really funny. I utilize approached and modalities related to addiction, trauma, EMDR and mindfulness-based practices. Mindfulness and radical self-acceptance are central in my own life and my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Originally from Cleveland, Jaymee relocated to Columbus where they began their own journey of sobriety on February 28th, 2013. Several years in, Jaymee went back to school after feeling called toward mental health work.
