My experience providing therapy began in the public schools, working with students and their families. It expanded when I joined a community agency and began to work with a wider group of adolescents and adults to increase their positive experiences with themselves, in their relationships, academic pursuits, athletic endeavors, careers and work environments. I apply my graduate background in biology, exercise physiology and health and clinical psychology to increasing clients' understanding of the true nature of stress, all it entails, and strategies and skills to enhance stress prevention, recovery, and real stress management including self-management, assertiveness, lifestyle management and other facets. The influence of stress is far-reaching and many of the negative behaviors, thoughts, and physical and relational experiences we have emanate from it. We can actually plan and prepare ourselves for much of it and in doing so, lead more positive lives.
