Your healing is a radical and personal act. My approach to therapy is to join your narrative and learn what would make healing "worth it."
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in Los Angeles, CA
Through my continued work in community based mental health practice, my focus is around the continual dismantling of racist, transphobic, and mysogynistic practices that have existed within the mental health world. Through continually working on my own accountability, I hope to give space and support around the needs that are often impacted by the events within our communities and around the globe.
Understanding that each LGBTQIA+ issue is individualistic and unique, my hope it to learn the individual story at hand and to join the world each person shares with me. From letter writing to work around identity and relationships, my MH experiences has been heavily within the LGBTQIA world, with a current position at the LA LGBT Center
I am a big champion of each individual’s beautiful complexity and that “change can happen at any pace.”
Honoring that each story is still being told. Most of the beginning work in therapy will be around telling our individual stories in the most honest and entire way.
Always revisiting and relearning my own intersecting identities as a first generation, queer Korean, I am committed to not only affirm the identities we use to “check off the boxes,” but the identities that often go unseen and untold.
Ultimately my goal is to immediately establish tangible equity within the therapy session so that we can build trust and accountability around your autonomous self.
