About My Clients
Have you ever tried to get help for your eating disorder, but had your neurodivergent needs dismissed? As a queer neurodivergent therapist, I strive to understand the way your brain works to ensure that my approach matches your neurotype. My speciality is treating co-occurring ED/OCD, orthorexia, and ARFID.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic practice is rooted in a liberatory and equity framework that recognizes the impact of systemic oppression on mental health. I believe that everyone has the right to live their lives authentically, free from the constraints of societal expectations and cultural norms. I practice through a trauma-responsive lens and utilize a variety of evidence-based treatments depending on your needs and preferences. As a Health At Every SizeĀ® -aligned provider, I understand the challenges that exist in a fatphobic society and am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for you to process your experiences. While I value your autonomy and respect your aspirations, I want to be upfront that I will never support the pursuit of intentional weight loss. Instead, I will arm you with science, assist you in unpacking internalized fatphobia, help you reject diet culture, foster a stronger sense of self-trust, and develop a sustainable relationship with your body.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do not adhere to the medical model. Rather than aiming to "fix" you through behavioral interventions, my objective is to support you in embracing your differences and fostering a genuine sense of pride in your authentic self. Together, we will strive to create a life that is meaningful, joyful, and fulfilling.
