My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience in providing psychotherapy, psychodiagnostic assessment, consultation, clinical supervision, and program evaluation in community, medical, residential and outpatient settings. I completed my Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at the American School of Professional Psychology, Washington, DC, in 2015, and have have worked in a wide variety of settings with a clinically and culturally diverse population of adults, children, adolescents, and families. Over the last several years, I have provided psychotherapy, psychological assessment, supervision and training as a psychologist and behavioral health manager at a large medical organization. My approach is one of collaboration and teamwork, and I work with adults, adolescents, children, and their families to identify solutions, strengths, and resources to overcome mental health challenges. I strive to provide an integrative approach uniquely tailored for each individual with whom I work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have struggles to overcome throughout our lifetimes. If you are finding yourself in a challenging spot, whether that may include life transitions, loss, or emotional or physical difficulties, you may feel stuck. My goal is to help those with whom I work harness their inner strength and resources while learning new skills to get through whatever life may throw their way. As Thich Nhat Hanh, the Zen Buddhist spiritual leader, has said, "No mud, no lotus." I believe we can grow and blossom with the right support, no matter how dark things may seem.
