The journey to motherhood can be overwhelming for many reasons. Are you struggling with scary thoughts, sadness, rage or overwhelm during pregnancy/postpartum? If you've experienced a traumatic birth or if you’re riding the uncertainty of an infertility journey, you may feel robbed of the “normal” experiences of motherhood you hoped for. You feel like you're about to fall apart at any moment. But one thing is for sure: you're ready to feel calm, hopeful and confident. I can support your journey.
How I Can Help You
I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health therapist (PMH-C), and utilize a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed therapies (including EMDR, EFT, CBT, mind-body therapies) with a holistic approach. The journey to motherhood is transformational, and overwhelming for all women as they navigate changes in pregnancy and postpartum. These feelings can be exacerbated if you've had fertility challenges, a traumatic birth, or lacking a village. I will help you let go of expectations that are not serving you, dismantle unattainable goals of perfection & let go of crippling self-doubt. We will process the big shifts in identity & you will develop self-compassion as you learn to navigate your new role. We will process the traumatic experiences of your past, and release them so you can feel safe and trust in your body again. Together, we will nurture the tender parts of you that need extra care. We will celebrate the wins as you feel more empowered, grounded, & find joy in your days.
My Values as a Therapist
I am passionate about holding space and empowering women as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum, birth trauma, infertility, and other women's issues. While these seasons of life are all deeply personal, I believe that holding space for these experiences is one of the best ways I can express care and support you in the way you deserve. My passion comes from my personal and professional experiences. I know what it is like to overcome some of the challenges that come with motherhood and family building.
