About My Clients
I provide psychotherapy to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, or challenges related to pregnancy, postpartum, or their reproductive health. While many of us undergo challenges with our mental and physical health, no one’s experiences and needs are exactly alike. My role as a therapist is to help you better understand the unique factors influencing your emotional wellbeing in order to develop a comprehensive plan forward.
My Background and Approach
I have experience helping individuals navigate the challenges of living with anxiety, depression, or chronic illness in order to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives. In addition, I specialize in working with pregnant and postpartum women who are struggling with feelings of anxiety, isolation, sadness, or not feeling like themselves. I also have experience and specialized training in providing therapy to individuals coping with the impact of infertility, medically complex pregnancies, or birth trauma. I aim to balance exploring the roots of your current challenges with identifying practical changes that will help you feel better and reach your goals. If you need support with calming your anxiety, connecting with others, or improving your relationship with yourself, I can help.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that our individual challenges are inextricably linked to larger social and societal structures. Psychotherapy should not only focus on individual-level factors, but work to address these systemic issues as well. Understanding the impact of these influences at the family, community, and global levels allows us to more accurately and compassionately view our own struggles and to identify new solutions. My work helping clients understand and reckon with these forces is informed by anti-oppressive, feminist, and trauma-informed approaches to clinical practice. In my personal time, I enjoy crafting, cooking new foods, and relaxing with a good book. You can usually find me spending time with my friends and family or taking my dog for a nice long walk.
