Jenny Friedman

I have experience working with teens and young adults with loss, particularly parental loss.

My passion is helping teens, young adults and geriatrics going through life transitions, including but not limited to: high school, college and post-college transitions; changes in family or peer relationships (i.e. parents are going through a divorce, break-ups); and job transitions.

I have worked with many individuals going through issues involving family conflict, with my goal being to help the individual understand the conflict more clearly, explore goals related to the conflict and to find peace in whatever way that might look.

I have post-graduate training and a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (also known as psychodynamic therapy) from a prestigious New York City training center.

I have taken courses on CBT and use the skills when needed in my practice.

Motivational interviewing is an important tool I use in my practice to empower patients and change their negative thinking about themselves and the world around them.
