About My Clients
Individuals 13 and older who struggle with codependency, love addiction, attachment issues, anxiety, and relationships. Do you find yourself continuing to choose a certain partner which results in heartache and depression? Or craving constant validation and attention? My aim is to help individuals express their authentic selves and to stop looking to outside sources for self-esteem and worth.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Pratt Institute with a Master of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development. I believe that creative expression is a way to nurture the relationship between our conscious mind and the unconscious so we are able to live in harmony, as our authentic selves. I also draw from nature-assisted theory, and dreamwork. Each individual is unique and beautiful, and what works for one person may not work for another. I utilize creativity and compassion to find an approach that will be most successful for the participant.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As Bell Hooks said, "Love heals. - We go forward with the fresh insight that the past can no longer hurt us. Mindful remembering lets us put the broken bits and pieces of our hearts together again. That is the way healing begins." We are all human, and we deserve kindness, compassion, and a safe space to express our authentic selves. I am a Feminist who supports the Black Lives Matters movement, the LGBTQ community, the Me Too movement, challenging oppressive systems, and looking at family history and intersectionality to gain self-awareness and insight.
