About My Clients
I work with individuals of all bodies and all orientations to help guide them in their process of creating change. Most of my clients find me because they have reached a point of knowing that something in their life needs to shift in order for them to feel satisfied, but they aren't sure how to make it happen. I am here to be a guide in that process, and help you find your own way by connecting and listening to the nature of your own spirit.
My Background and Approach
I use an experiential approach in counseling, where we follow the thoughts, feelings, emotions, and sensations that are occurring in the present moment as the window to explore deeper held beliefs. Together, we explore what is at the core of these beliefs and find new ways of understanding and holding the experiences you have had, to bring forward an updated perspective that leads from your most authentic, empowered self. Most of my work draws from my expertise in The Hakomi Method of Mindful and Somatic Psychotherapy, which I have been involved with since 2016 in various different contexts. This includes two years of comprehensive training at the former META Institute in Portland, working as an intern therapist at META, learning Hakomi as it is applied to bodywork in a structural integration program, and assisting in Hakomi comprehensive trainings in the Bay Area and online. I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California.
