About My Clients

I’m guessing you’re looking for some kind of relief. Do you feel like something is holding you back or affecting your relationships? Do you struggle with anxiety or perfectionism? Perhaps life changes - new job, moving, loss, parenthood, COVID fallout, the weight of our current world - have brought upon feelings of overwhelm or sadness. Maybe you want to navigate your body image, confidence, or self-esteem. Making yourself a priority can feel scary or impossible, but I’m here to help.

My Background and Approach

You will be actively involved in your therapy planning. I will listen with compassion while offering honest & direct feedback as we explore options for change. Genuine connection and a little humor are important aspects of my sessions. I mix various therapy styles to personalize your experience - teaching coping skills, providing resources and education, and encouraging self-reflection. We will work together to help you draw connections from your past relationships, noticing what’s been unhelpful and what could be unlearned and reframed. I can use music therapy and other creative approaches when desired, too. I’d love to chat with you before you commit. It’s important that you feel comfortable with me, so feel free to set up a consultation by calling, emailing, or completing the contact box below! I’d be honored to work with you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am committed to eliminating stigma surrounding mental health. Anyone can benefit from therapy, especially when you are in the driver’s seat. I spent years working in the inpatient environment where care was often “cookie-cutter” and dictated by everyone but the person in treatment. Now, my personal therapy philosophies are highly influenced by the incredible stories of recovery I witnessed and the desires for future care that were described to me. I especially enjoy helping other creatives, as well as folks who serve as caretakers in any form (including former parentified kids) work through perfectionism, sensitivity, confidence - all things I wish I had sought help for when I was first experiencing them as a young woman. I don’t discriminate against anyone but continually strive to challenge my biases, to educate myself on evolving language especially surrounding identity, and to examine my own white privilege. I promise to do my best to honor that you are the expert of you!
