Or, maybe it’s the end of the day, and you don’t feel as accomplished as you usually do. Life is a series of events that we, as people, seek to be connected to. Sometimes, it just doesn’t click. My Background and Approach
My goal is to meet you where you are, and help you where you want to be. As a team, we’ll work to create a space where you feel like you. Whether that’s getting back to the “you” that feels right, or reinventing that “you” you want to be! To the core, I believe that seeking ways to connect with others and gaining hope are some of the strongest tools to growth. I've dedicated years of schooling to learning about what makes people feel heard, seen, and supported. My background is a holistic approach centered about learning how to engage in the moment, and connect with emotions that empower you in accomplishing your goals. I have training utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy approaches in identifying thought patterns, and provide a safe space to explore those. We will utilize mindfulness techniques to help reregulate any stressful emotions. By looking at how we communicate, either with ourselves or others, I believe we can identify patterns that may no longer serve you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I adopt a person centered approach, focused on achieving holistic wellness through the healthy balance of a person's mental, emotional, and physical states. The therapeutic relationship is seen as an opportunity to assist clients in self-discovery through the mindful expansion of thought. This mindfulness is used as a means to impact behaviors and actions. As a counselor I act as a guide through the journey of becoming a self-directed agent of change, helping you navigate the thoughts, feelings, and actions that arise along the way. Your input is essential and you are encouraged to take an active role in co-creating the path to achieving your goals. Your counselor fosters a safe, supportive environment for you to acquire the skills and tools necessary to challenge the anxieties and fears inhibiting your greater self-understanding. With stronger self-awareness you are better able to view yourself as the person you're striving to be and are empowered to create your own happiness.
