I am passionate about walking alongside people who are on a journey towards finding a life of abundance, freedom, and wholeness!
Associate Clinical Social Worker in McKinney, TX

I have seen first hand the positive effects of CBT when used appropriately. The first step to change is to identify those negative thoughts and beliefs. Without acknowledging or being aware first, it is difficult to know what to change.
Using motivational interviewing techniques with clients is helpful to gain a better understanding on what is keeping them from experiencing change and what will motivate them towards change. Change starts with you (the client) and cannot begin unless you want it first.
My goal when using SFBT is to focus on the solutions that my clients can bring rather than only focusing on the presenting problems that bring them into counseling in the first place.
Anxiety can show up in a person's life in many different ways. Whether it looks like experiencing feelings of worry, panic, or racing thoughts, my goal is to help you pause and look at what is driving your anxiousness; to be present with yourself, your thoughts, and work on grounding.
I have extensive experience being a NICU social worker for almost 2 years and loved working with moms especially during their postpartum journey. Pregnancy brings up a lot of mixed feelings for moms and having someone to be able to process those anxious thoughts and feelings with can help alleviate some of that stress. You are never alone and asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness.
