About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples who want to improve the way they relate. My clients benefit from my attachment-focused lens as they seek to apply both traditional and non-traditional relationship structures. My training in sex therapy allows clients to access help for a wide range of sexual issues and gender presentations.
My Background and Approach
With you as the expert guiding our process, I bring a psychodynamic and person-centered therapeutic orientation. My interventions include Cognitive- Dialectical- & Rational Emotive-Behavioral Therapies; Motivational Interviewing; Emotionally Focused Therapy; Gottman techniques, mindfulness-based and trauma-informed interventions. I also speak fluent Spanish. I am here to collaborate with you as you confront life’s challenges and use your own unique strengths to meet them. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and in compassion for all. As a secular humanist I've helped clients recover from religious trauma and the impact of religion on their self-worth and view of sex, gender and propriety.
