I consider my approach to be relational, empathetic, and solution-focused. While difficult circumstances of the past can't be changed, we can work together to better understand, and redeem difficult challenges. Sometimes extra support and guidance are helpful when faced with challenging life situations or if you're desiring to move in a new direction. I am a Masters-level counselor working towards licensure in Marriage & Family Therapy. I have two graduate degrees in counseling and have had my own private practice working primarily with teenagers and families for over ten years. I am a Certified Life Coach with pre-marital and marital counseling experience. I am also a licensed minister with 30 years of youth ministry and pastoral experience. As a child, I experienced the pain of my parent’s divorce, my father’s drug addiction, mental illness, and homelessness. I am also acquainted with loss and grief. I desire to help people struggling with their own set of painful situations and challenges. I believe that all people have the ability to grow and move towards better health emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually.
