About My Clients
I have a passion for working with folks with neurodivergence - especially those that found out a little later in life. Walking through neurotypical spaces can feel maddening and helping you map out your unique neurotype in ways that make you thrive is truly an honor. Similarly, I enjoy working with individuals to sort out attachment issues and traumas from their past. These often show up in our day to day lives as anxiety, depression, or challenges in our relationships that persist.
My Background and Approach
I found out well into adulthood that I am neurodivergent. That knowledge helped me truly understand and accept myself in a way that nothing else had before. Now, I am able to make the best parts of my brain work for me and advocate for my needs more successfully. I take a strengths-based approach when working with clients to achieve their goals. This helps build confidence and build on habits that are already working. When working on healing attachment and trauma issues I take a multi-disciplinary approach. I use somatic experiencing, am in the process of becoming EMDR certified, and will be a Level 2 NARM certified therapist this Spring. My interactions are always trauma informed, and led by you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all trying our best in the ways that we know how and view therapy as a process to uncover our truest self and learn tools to interact most productively with those in our life. I am passionate about helping you find what makes you amazing and working together to showcase it. Like you, I am also working on my own mental wellness. I believe therapy is a dynamic process where we both learn and grow together. I commit to keeping a safe, non-judgmental space for you to find your own best self.
