My Background and Approach
My goal is to help you identify skills that help you handle whatever life throws at you and feel confident in your ability to use them when they're needed most. While I frequently utilize cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to help clients overcome depression, anxiety, trauma, and similar concerns, my philosophy is that there is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy. In my nine years as a practicing therapist, I've found that meeting you wherever you are is a foundation to working together to find techniques that help you meet your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all capable of making positive changes, no matter how difficult these changes seem. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my job is to help you meet your goals and get the most out of our time together. In therapy and outside of it, my goal is to help make the community a better, more welcoming place to live. I advocate for marginalized people both inside and outside of session and believe that all people are welcome in therapy to make changes to help us better our lives and the lives of those around us.
