About My Clients
Most of my clients are neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, OCD), have an anxiety disorder, or are invested in nerd, geek, and/or gaming culture. I consider myself a Geek Therapist and love incorporating my clients' interests and passions into therapy. I also provide expert neurospychological assessment for ADHD and Autism.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from California Lutheran University with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology. While I primarily use a therapeutic approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, my work as a provider always focused on my client's needs and where they're at each week.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that growth never stops and can look vastly different for many people. My held identities include: White-identified, cisgendered male, and straight. I am an avid gamer - I immensely enjoy playing and discussing games in my personal life. I am a strong advocate for games being a health behavior that can be used therapeutically to help people grow, change, and heal. I also enjoy working with anyone involved in gaming, geek, and/or nerd culture, as these forms of media and interests have a lot of depth and value in my clients' lives. In my spare time I like to also read, meditate, share meals with others, and talk with my loved ones. The opportunity to do therapeutic work is something I am enjoying more and more every year I am allotted the privilege to do so.
