About My Clients
I assist individuals, couples, and families experiencing hardships in life and with individuals experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression and trauma. I also help families experiencing conflict, relationship problems, marital problems, and with parents who are court ordered to participate in counseling as part of their DCFS case or family law case.
My Background and Approach
I have over 18 years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples in diverse settings. I utilize various modalities according to the client's needs and consider myself to be well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when working with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also enjoy utilizing a family systems and solution focused approach when working with families in conflict. Further, I enjoy utilizing Gottman strategies and interventions when working with couples and also have significant experience and knowledge about working with parents involved with Child Protective Services (DCFS) and family law court.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a passion for what I do not only because it's my profession but rather because of personal experiences. I was born in the Westlake district of Los Angeles to working parents who divorced when I was ten years old. My mother was also diagnosed with mental illness in the early 2000s which has allowed me to connect and relate with clients on their struggles that they may experience in their quality of life. For such reasons, I enjoy and love the work that I do. Additionally, I hold myself to the highest standards when attending to my clients and constantly make an effort to ensure that my clients gain benefits from their therapeutic process and experience self-discovery, nurture their new findings, and grow as people.
