My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My philosophy is “treat others the way they prefer to be treated” with dignity and respect. Despite the stigma that still exists in our society today, I think we forget that we are all human. I was raised from humble beginnings and we didn't have much but each other in the neighborhood. I tend to focus more on how the person is perceiving their own worldview, as this is the base of the cognitive model. We are not our thoughts. We can learn how to improve our self-talk and be more inline with our goals in our life. Our past doesn't dictate where we are going in our future. We have the power to stop the cycles of intergenerational trauma and learn from it. My treatment approach is a more Humanistic and Person-Centered.
