We live in a chaotic world. There’s a lot of injustice and a lot of things out of our control but pleasure, joy, connection and healing are still possible and worth fighting for. I will hold space for your contradictions, your hopes, and fears. Let's create a space where you feel safe enough to share your unpopular opinions and hot takes.
I use relational and somatic (body-based) techniques to build your internal resources and find safety in yourself. We’ll get curious about how relationships–to self, to others, to our environment–impacts quality of life as humans with a natural need for connection. Using sensation identification and soothing meditations, I’ll help guide you to feel more at home in your body. I work through a holistic model that considers the impact of social systems on your health and how your many intersecting identities shape your experiences.
I love rummaging through paradox and live strongly from a “both/and” way of being. I’m committed to being transparent about who I am and as someone who has worked to defy strict categorization I don’t want to be defined by a list of checked boxes. With that being said, I understand the importance of using identity categories to communicate our experiences and find our people. I identify as neurodivergent, white (Irish/German descent), small fat/”plus sized", and queer (bi, nonbinary, fluid, femme), among other things. I love working with people who share these identities and people who don't. I value diverse and varied perspectives. In my spare time you might find me strolling through dense redwood forests, organizing events and publishing zines with the queer art community, or reading a book in a cozy chair.
