About My Clients
I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ adolescents and adults on identity (gender/sexuality) exploration and understanding. Besides identity, I work with LGBTQ+ on any LGBTQ+ issues, relationships, sex, trauma, etc. I also love working with QTBIPOC individuals on multicultural identities and issues. I take a holistic approach towards helping people heal through their trauma. I also work well with people dealing with overall depression and anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I participated in my own therapy when I was a teenager. I struggled with my sexuality and dealt with depression and anxiety because of it. I felt alone and afraid and like no one understood what I was going through. Luckily, one of my school counselors noticed something was wrong with me and they reached out, provided a helping hand, and put me in group therapy. Group therapy is where I learned I was not alone, and others were struggling with their sexuality and gender, as well, and that everything was going to be okay! This was the first step in self-acceptance and self-love! I have continued to participate in my own therapy, so I can continue to accept and love myself as the person I am meant to be! It hasn't been an easy journey, but I know that I am worth it! I share my story because I believe in the power of storytelling.
