About My Clients
Are you experiencing self-doubt, relationship issues, grief, or sadness? Has it felt like things just keep happening to you and there is no light in sight? Do you feel like you've been having a difficult time in every relationship and find dating difficult and anxiety-driven? I get it. I'm here to empower you to be here in the moment and find your way from there together so that you can grow. Let's discover your treasures to transform these ailments into the gifts you have.
My Background and Approach
I have an extensive background in couples and individual work. I also work with those in polyamorous, monogamous, and open relationships. I have also worked in and served the LGBTQIA community. I received my master's degree focused in individual, couples, and family psychotherapy from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. I begin therapy with asking clients about what they aim to achieve in therapy and we then go from there. I help clients develop the capability to endure negative emotions so that they can be understood and worked through. The greatest part about this? You don't have to do it alone. I like to take a mindfulness-based approach, inviting meditation, and being in the present moment. I help couples communicate, work through infidelity, and find solutions to conflict. I help clients understand their inner world, values, and the stories that they tell themselves daily. I aim to help clients understand themselves and become who they want to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do believe that everyone should have access to affordable mental health care. I support organizations that fight for access to mental health services for all, stand against mental health stigma, racial injustice, social justice, and stand up for the LGBTQIA+ community. I am sex positive and kink friendly and I welcome clients that wish to explore this. I am more progressive and left-leaning when it comes to politics. I love helping others discover their belief systems. I have two adorable cats that I love and I love talking about animals! I enjoy music and have found it to be a balm in my own processing of emotions and everyday life.
