About My Clients

I have specialized training to help alleviate the effects of depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions (good and bad - they both are stressful!), bipolar disorder and psychosis (like schizophrenia). I work with adults of all ages, and prioritize adapting therapy to fit your individual and cultural values. No matter if your symptoms are disrupting your life in large ways or small, there is hope for recovery and I can help guide you to reach your goals.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed clinical psychologist whose practice is rooted in structured, time-limited therapy (often called evidence-based practice, or EBP) - delivering care that supports your goals, enhances your life, and builds skills to address symptom flare ups after therapy ends. Examples of EBPs I practice are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, great for most mental health issues), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT, especially good for depression, life transitions, and grief), and Interpersonal Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT, especially good for bipolar disorder). Initially, I'll make sure I understand what is going on for you and how that fits into your life. We'll collaboratively develop therapy goals and check-in weekly to make sure you're making progress. I pride myself on being personable, collaborative, and responsive to client needs. I believe that people are remarkably resilient when given the right tools and enjoy supporting recovery - whatever that may look like for a client.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
