About My Clients
I am passionate about bringing hope into the lives of those with mental health issues and distress in their relationships. Whether a life transition has you feeling anxious and unsteady, or relationship problems are all consuming, I am committed to creating a safe space for individuals and couples to process and explore thoughts, emotions, and wounds. It is possible to reframe and rewrite the stories that become our reality, and I am here to help with that revision process.
My Background and Approach
My approach is holistic and integrative, focusing on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment based frameworks. My interests include couples therapy, marital distress, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, chronic illness, eating disorders, and LGBTQIA+ issues. As humans we are wired to need meaningful, safe, authentic connection. EFT allows clients--both couples and individuals--to learn how to do heal their relationships safely and draw on their emotional experiences to guide them. Together we explore the emotions and stories that influence how we see the world and our relationships and decide, "Is this narrative serving us"? My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and hopeful space for clients to process and dig into those parts of themselves that are wounded.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about breaking down mental health stigma, and providing a safe and affirming space for all. I strive to empower clients to find their own inner strength, hope, and wisdom. Outside of the therapy room I enjoy spending time in nature with the people I love--hiking, camping, gardening, or porch sitting.
