About My Clients
Individuals I see are from diverse cultural, ethnic, spiritual, linguistic, and racial backgrounds. I have extensive training in trauma; especially related to abuse, intimate partner violence, and assault. Many of my clients are facing transitions related to immigration or displacement, cultural adjustments associated with international careers, grief and loss.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy as a collaborative experience, and I strive to welcome your whole you: your struggles, talents, fears, successes, joy, pain, humor, sadness, shame, and more. Together, using a therapist-led and client strengths-centered approach, we can rediscover parts of you that may feel lost, tend to what feels broken, and celebrate your authentic self. I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including somatic approaches, narrative therapy, EMDR, and person-centered.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in a society where not only are quality mental health services accessible for all, but where equitable social, economic, and structural conditions promote health and opportunity. In my practice, and in my social and activist life outside of my practice, I advocate for and promote well-being and justice for people of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, legal statuses, gender expressions and identities, sexual orientations, economic classes, and lifestyles.
