About My Clients
I provide individual, couples, and family therapy via telehealth. I work with clients that want to examine their place in the larger historical context of society, their community, and their family to collaborate in finding ways to address the cycles that impact them. No matter where you are from, the essence of finding the cycles that persist from generation to generation is important in addressing the root of our issues and their impact on our mind, body, and soul.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working with diverse populations in community, school, and clinical settings. I incorporate a social justice lens to analyze the impact of how our intersecting identities and social forces impact our mental health. I collaborate with you in the process of healing and tap into your inner strengths, while identifying your negative cycles. In the therapy sessions, we will explore and draw connections to our roots, I will use a combination of family systems approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapy to address the internal, historical, or family cycles that impact our mind, body, and soul. I incorporate a social justice lens to analyze how our intersecting identities, cultural, and social forces impact our mental health. I collaborate with you in the process of healing and tap into your inner strengths while identifying the cycles that get us caught in limiting our potential.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first-generation person of color raised in East Los Angeles and of immigrant parents from Mexico, it has been a healing journey for me to work through my own trauma to be fully present and genuine with any one I am working with. I am here to help you address issues pertaining to your past, present, and future self to heal and begin to take the steps in breaking negative generational cycles.
