About My Clients
Life changes and challenges are facing you. Cultural minorities including women and persons of color / POC experience strains from cultural and social values persisted by cultural power holders. It shows up as anxiety for you: overthinking paralysis, self-doubt, loss of autonomy, fear of ‘doing it wrong’ or not being enough, fear of missing out, low self worth, or isolation. Together, we’ll uncover and challenge oppressive narratives & discover your authentic expression, values, and needs.
My Background and Approach
I am at my therapeutic best when working one on one and with couples. I offer a presence of empathy and non-judgment, meeting you right where you're at in your life. We will explore your strengths and engage your identity by addressing past and current experiences. I use clinical and evidence-based therapeutic interventions fluidly and relationally to host a gentle, safe, and healing space. We’ll hold this personal space for you to decompress, explore, and learn about yourself now. We’ll engage challenges and solutions within you and your relationships. This often entails exploring your stories that maintain the origin of problematic patterns in order to build awareness and change towards wholeness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist and social worker with my own therapy journey, I cannot overlook the power of self-exploration and self-healing with a trained professional. I believe that social norms, social constructs, and lived experience condition us and inform us of values and beliefs in our lives that often need refreshing or reforming. If unaddressed, it can lead to repeating unwanted patterns, loss, existential crises, and division from the whole self. For many, this can result in loss of confidence, direction, or meaning. All is not lost! I believe that you maintain the expertise to navigate your life in all its stages. By addressing and reframing life events, obstacles, and negative patterns, we can access, reexamine, and reclaim the better parts of you.
