About My Clients
My clinical experience allows me to provide exceptional and affirmative care for members who identify with these communities: LGBTQQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual), people of color, culturally diverse, non-monogamous/open/polyamorous relationships, kink/BDSM, and folks who encounter institutionalized/system forms of oppression.
My Background and Approach
My journey as a person with intersecting marginalized identities navigating through these barriers serves as the foundation for my professional ethic and values as a psychotherapist which are: social justice, equitability, transparency, accountability, and intersectionality. Narrative therapy is my primary treatment philosophy and modality which focuses on exploring your personal story from your own perspective, identifying exceptions or times when a particular problem did not exist or have as much influence in your daily life, aiding you in re-authoring your story in a way that accentuates exceptions and highlights innate strengths, and provides you with supportive tools to help you connect with and live as your most authentic self.
