If you have been abused, if you get nothing else from your time reading this I want you to know one thing: It. Was. Not. Your. Fault. Abuse comes with so many negative emotions. Guilt and isolation are just two of them. It can also be a scary thing to talk about. If you let me I can help you navigate those shifting and unsettling emotions. Whenever you decide you are ready to ask for help, I am ready to listen.

"If you feel bad, just think of all the people who have it worse than you." "You would feel better if you'd just snap out of it." "It's all in your head." If you have depression, you have probably heard some of these things from someone who is trying to help but didn't stick the landing. These are also things I will not be saying to you. What I can do are things like validate your experiences, listen, teach you ways of getting out from under the cloud and start living the life you choose.

I've been a man my whole life. As a man, I have not only survived all sorts of men issues, but have found ways to deal with my man issues in healthy and productive ways. If you are a man who is tired of dealing with man issues and wants to start solving man issues, I'm ready to help as soon as you swallow your man pride (something we all deal with at times) and ask for help. Also, if you have a difficult man in your life and need help, as a difficult man I can help with that, too.

Person-Centered Therapy is based on 3 rules. Rule No. 1-Unconditional Positive Regard There is nothing that you can tell me that will make me think less of you. Therapy will be a safe place where I see the best in you, and nothing you do or say will change that. Rule No. 2-Empethetic Listening I will do my best to understand you not just logically, but also emotionally. Rule No. 3-Congruence I'm real person. If I ask you to be real with, I will be real with you.

There is no one size fits all approach to therapy. If you come into my office, I will treat you like the individual you are, and not assume I know exactly how to help you because I treated someone else with the same issue. I am patient enough learn how to best help you and knowledgeable enough to help you practice ways to help you
