About My Clients
I am allied with and a part of the queer community. I work with clients from all walks of life with a focus on individuals and relationships identifying as: queer, transgender, non-binary, and open/non-monogamous and sex-positive/kink relationships.
My Approach to Helping
I practice from evidence-based approaches and have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), grief and bereavement, and Solution-Focused Brief therapies. I have many years of experience helping individuals overcome difficulties with anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and the grieving/bereavement processes from the death of a loved one, to divorce, loss of personal dreams, health, and more. I also work with individuals experiencing complex medical issues, caregiver stress/burnout, family/relationship concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring an evidence-based and trauma-informed approach to individual and relational therapy. Mental health and wellness are essential aspects of a healthy and happy life. Therapy can help with managing mental health issues, reduce stress, strengthen relationships, and improve quality of life and overall well-being. It is possible to feel better, both physically and mentally, with treatment, and to start to enjoying life again. I can help you in a collaborative way that is authentic and approachable. I know how important it is to find a therapist who fits and how difficult it can be to start therapy. That’s why I offer a complementary, 15-minute call so we can get to know each other.
