Mental Health Counselor in , WA
Life transitions are the fabric of the LGBTQ+ community and I enjoy supporting folx as they navigate new chapters in their life while processing the past.
DBT skills based work can provide both long term and short term relief for many mental health symptoms and struggles.
My practice primarily serves the LGBTQ+ community. Much of my training as been tailored to provide mental health counseling to the unique needs of LGBTQ+ folx.
For many folx in the LGBTQ+ community, they have experienced harmful events of the past. In addition, often folx experience high anxiety in the present that can make daily activities difficult. I provide a space to process these events and/or support in obtaining new tools to manage anxiety symptoms.
I have received extensive training and experience working with individuals who are looking to explore their gender in therapy.
Often times my clients find more stability in their lives when they are experiencing harmony in their relationships. An element of our work may be the utilization the relational skills/tools we use in session and adapting those to out of session relationships.
As a person-centered provider I meet my clients as they are and collaborate with them to make common goals that feel obtainable and congruent. You will be met with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach with respect to your own beliefs and perspectives.
New attachment relationships can be created through the support of therapy which help to heal old attachment wounds.
