About My Clients

You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, and/or the uncertainties of living in this modern & systemically unfair world. You might be feeling a lack meaning in your life, while at the same time hoping that meaning does exist out there somewhere. You might be finding it difficult to connect socially or romantically. And you're now taking that important step of finding someone to help you on your unique journey towards vibrant mental health.

My Background and Approach

My practice is most informed by psychodynamic, existentialist, attachment-based, and feminist therapy traditions. Exploring your relationship patterns, existential concerns, and day-to-day stressors through these lenses, we will work together to empower you to make positive choices and to uncover any subconscious internal resistance to living the life you were meant to live. I also have experience in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a treatment of choice for severe anxiety as well as obsessive compulsive disorder.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe all people are worthy of empathy and capable of change, and for the most part, I think people are doing the best they can. Sometimes, we find that the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors that once helped us to survive are now holding us back or even actively causing problems in our lives. With a little exploration and encouragement, we can find new, more satisfying ways of being. Cisgender, white, and straight myself, I aim to provide services that are anti-racist as well as queer- and trans-affirming.
