About My Clients
Life can be overwhelming, and you may be feeling anxious or down. Perhaps you've been feeling lost or out of place for awhile despite how put-together you may seem. You might even have a hard time knowing who you are and what you truly want. That can be a pretty lonely experience. And, it’s okay to not know how you got here or what to do. Many of my clients are introverts, people who've experienced trauma, those struggling to find their voice, couples or families with difficult relationships...
My Background and Approach
I believe that healing takes place in relationship—one that lets you fully be yourself. People thrive when they're in connection with themselves and others in an honest, nourishing way. My job is to create this with my clients. From there, I help people find their inner compass. I help them sort through all of it—the thoughts, the messy emotions and everything in between. We do this by slowing down in the present, befriending their emotional experience and becoming curious (in a kind way) about what keeps them stuck. I bring a variety of modalities to this process, including the ones listed below, mindfulness/meditation, yoga and trauma-informed techniques. Prior to mental health, I worked in a corporate, creative industry for several years. I am also a recovering perfectionist and a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), which I now regard as a superpower. It would be my pleasure to accompany you on your journey toward well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
| ~ “We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” –e.e. cummings ~ | ~ “it is being honest about my pain that makes me invincible.” –Nayyirah Waheed ~ |
