About My Clients
I believe that our symptoms are often telling us something about our lives and how we're living them. I aim to hold a safe, supportive space where you can explore your current situation and get feedback about what we (as an industry) know works. I have extensive experience working with life transitions, mood disorders, stress, work/life balance, and trauma. I focus on the individual, and currently do not offer couple's therapy.
My Background and Approach
My therapy style is open, accepting, genuine and supportive. I employ a range of modalities including positive psychology, solution focused, person-centered, cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. I tailor my approach to each client's individual needs, and believe that everyone is capable of growth and healing. I am here to support and empower you, and hold a safe space. My Master's Degree is in Clinical Psychology, and I have extensive experience treating depression and anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is capable of growth and change, and can live a satisfying and meaningful life. I am incredibly open minded and non-judgmental. I am fairly holistic in my health and healing beliefs. I believe that our bodies give us symptoms as clues that something in our lives isn't working. Instead of saying "you have depression, here's a prescription" I like to approach symptoms as an indication that something in your life needs to shift, and I love the process of helping you identify what that is, and what you need to do to change it. I believe that helping YOU be your best self helps to make the world a better place.
