About My Clients
Are you experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression? Are you dissatisfied with your relationships? Are you in early recovery from a substance use disorder? My clients are adults or late adolescents who are working hard to change the circumstances in their life that are holding them back from their full potential. You don't have to suffer in silence and you're not alone.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with years of experience working with adult individuals, couples and families. The scope of my experience has allowed me to work with a wide variety of races, ethnicities, sexual identities and orientations, socio-economic and education levels. I have broad experience with individual, family work and couples counseling. My approach involves treating the whole person, so we will address your presenting issues and anything else that may come up in the initial assessment or our work thereafter. My approach is also psychoeducational. I want you to take away skills with you that will last a lifetime and effect lasting change in areas of your life that are leaving you unsatisfied currently.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that most of our dysfunction comes from stories that we tell ourselves. Those stories might be simple, hurtful one liners that we say to ourselves all the time, "I'm not ____ enough," "I'll never achieve ____ goal." Those stories might also be long, detailed and textured narrative of pain. I believe that you have the opportunity right now to rewrite that story for a much happier, healthier ending.
