If you have been struggling with how you feel in your body— then you know how exhausting it can be. You count calories, swear off certain foods, and push yourself. You check your reflection in the mirror- willing yourself to be smaller, wishing to be different. But after a while you find yourself back in the kitchen, starving and going through the cupboards. Food and body struggles don't have to be your reality. Through therapy, you can discover tools to achieve freedom, ease, and confidence.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed therapist who specializes in helping individuals improve their relationship with food and body. In therapy, we’ll focus on tangible, evidence-based strategies to help you create a whole new relationship with food. We’ll also talk through what might be going on at home, school, or work that may be causing you treat your body this way. Through our work, you’ll stop eating a way that doesn’t feel good— but you’ll also start to create a life of more ease, joy and fun. My overall goal for you is to leave the food noise behind, so that you can enjoy a more present, engaged life. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my belief that all people have inherent worth and that all bodies have inherent dignity. My work is focused on helping others discover this truth in themselves and change their approach to food, body, and life according to this reality. I believe in the autonomy of all people and the ability for all people to have agency over their lives. I believe strongly in the agency and independence of all people and their entitlement to their own opinions, belief and viewpoints.
