About My Clients
We’ve all experienced the pain of feeling stuck in our relationships, or in our estimation of our own capacities and worth. I work to facilitate a shared exploration of how to generate greater connection with the people in your life, and a greater sense of peace and self-acceptance. My specialties cover a variety of clinical issues including relational and family distress, adolescent concerns, anxiety, depression, parenting, grief and loss.
My Background and Approach
I work from a relational, trauma focused and strength-based perspective. That is, I believe it’s important to consider the relational context of an individual’s struggle, to appreciate the impact of past emotional injury, and to amplify client strengths and resources. I believe that people naturally strive for self-actualization, and I view therapy to be a collaboration between client and therapist that helps to move people toward their goals.
