About My Clients

Do you want to show up with more authenticity and ease? To be able to tap into a sense of resiliency and minimize the impact of chronic stress? Traumas, discrimination and shame have many ways of cutting you off from vital aspects of yourself. Together we will explore and affirm the complexity of your identities and expressions. All of your parts are welcome here. I tend to match well with folks who identify with one or more of the following: LGBTQIA+, introverted, neurodivergent, sensitive.

My Background and Approach

Using my training as an Expressive Arts therapist, I will invite you to use intuition and curiosity to understand more about your inner psychological landscape. In a typical session I will provide a level of structure and direction that fits your needs, and we will use the time to explore themes and goals that you have identified. I may invite the use of metaphor, storytelling, visual art or music to deepen this process. Before opening my private practice in 2019, I worked in nonprofits and had the opportunity to see clients not only in the office but in their homes, at school and in hospitals. This time taught me to be resource oriented- I like to supplement our therapy with suggestions for reading, classes and media that may be aligned with your process. I also have training in the following evidence-backed practices to help you build coping skills, which I'm happy to share more about: DBT, Mindfulness-based stress reduction, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and CBT.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I respect your autonomy and consider myself to be a curious guide alongside of you in therapy, rather than an expert. By actively working to unlearn white supremacy and examine my privileges in an ongoing way (study groups, workbooks, media consumption, consultation), I hope to create a space where you can feel safe(r) to bring your intersectional identities. I dream of a world where there is equitable access to housing, healthy food, healthcare and rest. As a business owner and lifelong resident of the Bay Area, I practice economic justice by offering a sliding scale to my established LGBTQIA+ clients, supporting local BIPOC and queer owned small businesses and participating in mutual aid and donating to organizations in my community.
