About My Clients
My clients are people from a variety of different walks of life. Over the last 10 years I have had the pleasure of working with young and older adults, children, couples and families. Most of my clients are struggling with anxiety and depressive symptoms, negative thought patterns, or past trauma that continues to show up in their lives. Together we unpack your burdens and explore new ways of coping and functioning in your life.
My Background and Approach
With your permission, together we will gently unpack past trauma and old habits leaving room for new understanding and the power to take on your life and thrive. My experience and training with with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) helps me support clients in discovering their values and allows clients to focus on what their sole purpose in life is. Negative thought patterns are seen as less important as we live a life of value.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe today, more than ever, we are facing new challenges as to how we cope and find fulfillment in ourselves and others. The last couple of years have been a huge adjustment for most of us. Some who had never experienced anxiety and depression were quickly introduced. We all need support; we are human. Mindfulness has been a life saver for myself and many of my clients. Mindfulness introduces the concept of being in the here and now, of being in the present moment. So much of our angst comes from the "What if???" and not the "What is". Shifting our focus can help immensely in the healing process.
