About My Clients
Are you feeling sad, anxious, or haunted by memories of the past? There is hope. You can feel better with treatment. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit. However, there are times we get "stuck" in painful or unhealthy patterns of thoughts and behavior, times we feel emotionally out of control, or times we struggle with important relationships. I can work with you in support and collaboration to help you find the way forward to peace and the life you want.
My Background and Approach
I can help you find tools to help you with distress in the moment as well as healing from upsetting past events. I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a specialized trauma treatment), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), mindfulness and self-compassion. I focus on building on your unique strengths to help you find solutions that work for your unique situation. I believe in social justice and want all clients to feel welcome in my office. My style is warm, empathetic, collaborative and strengths-based. I have years of experience as a therapist in collaborative health clinics so I understand the importance of healing the mind, body, and spirit for a balanced, happy and meaningful life. I believe you are the expert in yourself, so I want to collaborate to help you build skills and resiliency.
