About My Clients
As a clinical oncology and palliative care social worker, I specialize in supporting adults who live with serious and/or life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, neurodegenerative conditions, and more.
My Background and Approach
"Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom" (Viktor Frankl). It's easy to get caught up in patterns of communication or behavior that Frankl-y (ha) don't serve us well in the long-term. You may examine these at a later date and decide they no longer work for you. Not only is this common--it indicates growth. In our sessions together, we'll explore what you find important or helpful as you cope with stressors, make progress toward your goals, and feel empowered to live a life that aligns with your values and wishes. My practice is expansive: rooted in an intersectional framework and mindful of how your loved ones may navigate changes alongside you. While everyone's therapy is unique, my aim is to help you process your experiences, increase awareness and understanding, and use these insights to foster meaning and change in the midst of challenging circumstances.
