About My Clients
My ideal clients have found themselves in repetitive patterns but don't know why. I work with my clients to identify these patterns and get to the root of the issue through a collaborative approach. This allows me and my clients to ensure that their therapeutic goals and needs are collaboratively centered and provides a safe, trusting space for my clients to be supported and understood.
My Background and Approach
Psychodynamic therapy is a weekly psychotherapy that focuses on understanding ourselves and the ways that we interact with the world.My work focuses on understanding patterns of behavior and the unconscious, and helping my clients focus on the here and now. My therapeutic style is collaborative, supportive, and engaging. I value warmth, humor, and strive to create an open and affirming environment for my clients to explore, understand, and heal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A large part of my graduate school education was focused on pervasive societal and systemic inequalities and oppression. I am aware of my privilege and am actively working to challenge and dismantle how these privileges benefit me while simultaneously oppressing others. I am an LGBTQI+ ally, I have done extensive work with refugees and immigrants; With all of my clients, my goal is to provide a non-judgemental atmosphere where my clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
