About My Clients

If you're reading my profile, you've already made such a big step towards healing and achieving your goals, and that's something to be proud of. Do you ever feel like you're stuck living in the past and some experiences are holding you back in life? As a trauma-informed therapist, I will help you navigate processing these events while also guiding you towards a more fulfilling future. I work with youth and adults ages 8 and up on their path of healing and growth.

My Background and Approach

I believe each person has a unique view of the world and I strive to support my clients in identifying their own strengths and abilities to achieve self-fulfillment. I have experience working with a variety of client populations in community mental health, residential settings, and private practice. I specialize in helping clients overcome their struggles with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. My strengths lie in my ability to build a strong therapeutic relationship which is shown the be the biggest indicator of success in therapy. My goal is to provide you with a safe, nonjudgmental, and accepting space to explore your past, your challenges in the present, and your hopes for the future. I have received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, an effective tool in processing and healing from past trauma. I also identify as a Christian and am happy to guide you on your spiritual journey if requested.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that as humans, we have an innate ability to heal from the past and grow towards a more fulfilling future. We can't always control what happens to us in our lives, but we do hold the power to overcome these challenges and achieve our goals. I recognize that our cultural backgrounds and identities shape how we are perceived in the world which has a significant impact on our life experiences. I believe we all have an important story to tell, and I'm here to listen. Through my faith, service work, and involvement with volunteer organizations, I strive to break down the social barriers that have created injustice in our world. Outside of the therapy office, you can find me spending time with my husband and pup, or out exploring the beautiful Colorado scenery!
