About My Clients

I have clinical experience in working with folks who live with a wide variety of issues and concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and bereavement, relationship issues, women’s issues, stress management, and more. I have a special interest in self-acceptance work and mindfulness practices.

My Background and Approach

I believe that our experiences shape who we are, the stories we tell ourselves, and the emotional, mental, and behavioral patterns we find ourselves stuck in. I believe that my role is to help you process and rewrite those stories for yourself to better meet your goals and thrive within a fulfilling life. I love working with an integrative practice; one that meets you where you are and uses various orientations to honor who you are and what you need at any given time. No matter the orientation used, I am passionate about using a trauma-informed approach that respects the impact of past and current trauma on the mind, body, and spirit. Whether you're ready to gain better control over your thoughts and emotions, manage negative patterns in your life, or cope with a difficult life transition, counseling is a safe place to lay all of that down, even if just for a little while.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that each of us has the capacity for meaningful change. The inherent nature of being people with intersectional identities means that our unique circumstances and lived experiences impact how that change occurs and unfolds in our lives. Throughout our lives, we learn different ways to process and cope with our own specific set of circumstances. Patterns of thinking, behaving, ways of relating to others and ourselves are developed to help us. Change, in my opinion, begins with looking at those patterns and deciding how well they are currently working for us. Not feeling like the patterns you find yourself in are serving you anymore? You have the power to change it or change how you respond to it. My own therapy has been instrumental in showing me that I can be someone that I am proud of, free of the patterns that were only holding me back. I am no expert, only a human who is willing and able to listen, hold space for you, and help in whatever ways I can. Let's talk!
