About My Clients
I have 5+ years experience working with youth, young adults, adults, caregivers, and entire family systems in community-based and school-based mental health settings. I have supported young people and their families with navigating life transitions; coping with chronic stress and complex trauma; cultivating hope and resilience through challenge; and advocating for their needs, rights and what they deserve within oppressive or dominating systems and institutions.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Foresight. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work with an emphasis on violence prevention and trauma-informed practice at the University of Chicago. My approach blends formal theories of relationships, attachment and trauma healing practices along with grassroots, community-based understanding of social justice and collective liberation. I seek to build safe, authentic and attuned relationships with members and support them with identifying, practicing and integrating the skills needed to manage challenges or stressors in their lives. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, foster care issues, caregiver support, issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community, and personal growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Healing happens in relationships. The relationship we have with ourselves, with others, and with the larger community. I identify as a white, queer, cisgender woman, and I hope to develop healing relationships with members of all identities and backgrounds, focused on consent, care, trust, and choice. I additionally am a support to white-identifying individuals looking to unpack their whiteness and privilege in order to build or enhance the anti-racist practice in their lives, from a place of care and in accountability to Communities of Color. You deserve to heal & you deserve a healing relationship that feels like the best fit for you!
