About My Clients

First off, congratulate yourself for taking the first step in finding a therapist to help you begin your journey to become your best self and to achieve any goals you might have. I enjoy working with African American individuals, adolescents 13+, and couples who might be dealing with various issues with attachment, self-esteem, co-parenting, or anyone wanting to improve their emotional intelligence and needing help with expressing themselves in a healthier manner.

My Background and Approach

As a therapist, I prioritize the relationship between myself and the client making sure that I do my part to create a secure foundation to establish a sense of honesty, genuineness, and trust. I work with client’s from a systemic lens learning about you on an individual level, as well as the relationships you share with others and those dynamics. My approach is one that encourages you to be your true and authentic self, helping to increase self-awareness, while also challenging you to look beneath the surface to find your hidden strengths. I support client’s dealing with low self-esteem, depression, attachment injuries, co-parenting, healing, and relationship issues. Your voice matters and “I hear you”. You deserve to be heard in an open and safe space where there is no room for judgement. I am a therapist who will accept you for who you are and will help facilitate your growth through honesty, transparency, and genuineness during this challenging, yet rewarding process.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone is capable of changing and growing at any time or capacity in their lives. With that being said, I also believe that change is a choice. I believe that it is up to any person to make a decision to make some sort of change in their lives, whether that be mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual. Seeking out a therapist is a great way to help you make those changes you desire in your life, however, it is up to you to do a bulk of the work. That might sound scary, however, you know yourself the best and because you desire to see change in your life, it is your responsibility to put in the work inside and outside of therapy utilizing your therapist as only a guide or a resource to help give you more tools. Lastly, as a Black Woman, I know what it's like to be discriminated against and unfairly judged. I welcome anyone from all backgrounds, races and ethnicities, sexualities, socioeconomic status', and religions. If you have any question feel free to message me.
