About My Clients
My clients are those who are ready for an active shift in their lives, and a space to breathe. They are looking for a therapist who not only has the clinical tools to help them best process their unique challenges, but who "gets it" when it comes to the negative impacts they have experienced based on their Race, Ethnicity, or Gender. They seek a therapist who will provide genuine insight, but will provide Truths via empathetic challenge when needed.
My Background and Approach
I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for my clients as they navigate through the challenges that may be present in their lives. I believe that therapy is a collaborative environment and that you, the client, are the expert on YOUR life. My therapeutic approach to counseling is Person-Centered with an eclectic use of interventions based on my client's individualized needs. These interventions may include those from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, as well as Creative based interventions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that to truly "see" an individual is to accept their complete intricacies and complexities. I believe in living a social justice and equity-oriented life, and in my work with clients. I believe that Black Lives Matter, Love is Love and that marginalized persons deserve a safe healing environment where they can just "be."
