About My Clients
After beginning my Masters’ program focusing on couples, I began to notice more and more clients that had problems with trauma, even when they had other problems that brought them to therapy. My clients are looking for short term therapy towards addressing specific concerns, many of them recent incidents and events that are interfering with their quality of life and work. Many of my clients are first responders or other professionals who have cumulative stress and want to process it.
My Background and Approach
My journey to becoming a therapist has been uncommon. My family has lived in the Solano County area for over sixty years since my grandparents were stationed at Travis AFB. As a child, I was very interested in how things worked and as I grew older became more and more interested in psychology and the brain and was interested in providing testing and assessments. After beginning my Masters’ program in marriage and family therapy and focusing on couple therapy, I began to notice more and more clients that had problems with trauma, even when they had other problems that brought them to therapy. My journey took me to learning with a variety of professionals across North America, from couple therapy specialists like Sue Johnson (EFT), to taking classes and trainings on processing trauma from Francine Shapiro (EMDR) and Nacho Jarero. Through integration of my personal experiences with clients and these trainings, I have been able to offer a one-of-a-kind experience in therapy.
